Assemble and pack sandwiches at home to be given out in the Atlanta area.

The Catholic Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, Atlanta has fed the poor and the homeless for decades. Each morning, hundreds stop by this historic church to receive a lunch and a smile. The director of this ministry shared recently the Shrine serves an average of 1500 people a week, which translates into about 3000 sandwiches needed every week.

We pray you have the time to contribute by making some sandwiches. While we have gathered in church halls and school gyms in the past, we need to take some COVID 19 precautions. So we are asking you make sandwiches at home and drop them off at my house in Peachtree City, on Friday mornings for the month of May.

The process is simple:

  1. Make plain white bread, cheese, and deli meat sandwiches ***no mayo or mustard needed***
  2. Place each sandwich in a ziplock or sandwich bag, and
  3. Put the sandwiches back in the bread loaf plastic bag.
  4. Email me anytime to share that you are making sandwiches this week; so I have a rough estimate what is coming. If your plans change, no worries – email me.
  5. Deliver them by Noon, every Friday in May.
