Creating relationships with others can be difficult, especially after all we’ve experienced over the last few years. The societal expectation of social distancing has developed habits that have impacted how we relate to others. How do we overcome being distant or feeling alone? Community. We find community with other followers of Jesus by engaging in the local church. For us, that’s here at Southside Church Fayetteville. Community can begin with something as simple as an invitation to coffee, sharing a meal, joining a community group, or serving in one of our environments. It may be a little uncomfortable initially, but if you want to experience spiritual growth, you can’t do it alone. We do life better when we do life together.
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 13:13 – So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for the community you have given me. Help me steward my time with my community well.
