Influence with outsiders isn’t just for the outsider but also for the insider. Inspiring someone to follow Jesus will encourage you to continue creating spiritual rhythms as you grow your relationship with Jesus. We often hear stories of leaders who have been serving at Southside and notice their understanding of scripture improve and an increase in their devotion time because of their involvement in different ministry environments. The same goes for our influence with outsiders; when you invite them into a relationship with Jesus and community with you, it creates the space for you to develop and grow.
Scripture: Colossians 3:17 – And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to be an example of your love and to be reminded to give thanks in all things.
