Scripture: Colossians 3:12-14 – “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”
Thought: Can you imagine unity? I know it’s pretty hard to imagine right now. Teams put on uniforms to create a sense of unity. And if you belong to the Christian “team”, we should clothe our thoughts, actions and words with things that build unity. Which virtue do you need to put on as you think about the people you are divided with? What does love require of you to those who view things differently than you?
Prayer Prompt: “Lord, I want unity with those around me, and especially for our country! Help me to be a unifying voice and presence through clothing myself with more _________.”
